Purchasing Policy

Stony Brook Regional Sewerage Authority (“SBRSA”) conducts all purchasing in accordance with the State of New Jersey Local Public Contract Law (N.J.S.A. 40A:11-1 et seq) to maximize competition and obtain lowest prices through open and fair bidding (N.J.S.A. 40A:11-2(27)), competitive contracting (N.J.S.A. 40A:11-4.1) or competitive quotation (N.J.S.A. 40A:11-2(31)).

SBRSA is a public authority of the State of New Jersey and is exempt from Sales and Use Taxes, pursuant to Section (a)(1) of the New Jersey Sales and Use Tax Act (N.J.S.A. 54:32B-1 et seq).

All new vendors of SBRSA must complete the Vendor Information Form and provide all applicable documents listed in the form. See “New Vendor Packet”.
